 Welcome to the online home of Dale Head Farm Tea Garden. Dale Head Farm Rosedale, YO18 8RL

We are a Tea garden in Rosedale on a Hill Farm near Pickering on the North York Moors. We enjoy beautiful views down the valley of Rosedale. Serving refreshments -tasty  sandwiches , cream scones, Yorkshire cakes - including Moggy, Funeral biscuits, Courting cake. Also large pots of  loose leaf Yorkshire tea and large pots of Taylors of Harrogate ground coffee. Cold drinks include homemade Elderflower cordial Everything is homemade on the premises using local ingredients. We also have a gluten free sandwiches and cakes.  Sit on our large tables or in the shooting butt sheltered against the wind or we also have a covered section for shelter from the elements with the woodburner lit when cold!

Opening times for 2014 are
 
May through September 10 - 5 and  open bank holidays
Every day except Monday and Tuesday (check on a Tues as if I am there- I am open!)
Weather depended if its really bad I may be shut but bang on the door anyway!!
October weekends 10 - 4 
2014 open winter days  and weekends when nice or by arrangement as we have a new warm shelter - best to ring ahead if not sure. 
 
 

We are right at the top of Rosedale valley east side. Walks lead to us on the disused railway line that goes for 8 miles around the top of the dale.

To get to us: Several ways - From Chimney bank - head on the Railway line for about 4 miles - turn right where you see the sign heading you across the dale to the Tea Garden.

                                          From Rosedale village - Just head up dale heading towards Castleton - junction half mile from village head to Dale Head only (approx 2 miles) by car or walking.

                                           From Hill Cottages, Rosedale - Head up to Depot House (East start of railway line) follow line for approx 1 mile drop down at side of wood to the farm.

                                            Blakey Pub - Drop down onto railway line - head left follow railway line around top of dale then drop down to Tea Garden by the wood. Right - walk on until you see the sign sending you across the dale follow track to Tea Garden ( approx one and a half miles).
